2010: Le Journal Intime
Visas for journeys through disparate lands, cultures and the soaring songs of man. Often critiqued as paintings most narrative, the window is wide open for a wide variety of interpretations: literary, mystical, personal or simply as icons to inspire the completion of the paintings by the viewer.
In total, Paul Harmon’s work is a personal diary covering over five decades, yet individual paintings are carefully universal, allowing others to inhabit them. These works are selected 2010 “Journal Intime” entries.
Home and studio environments, elation and melancholia, Venuses and prima donnas, poems and plays and novels, the history of art, heroes, loves, dogs and high flying birds. The stuff of life pragmatic and life dreaming.
