2021: The Year That Was
Certainly a year of ups and downs. Pneumonia on top of chronic emphysema bodes badly for an old artist. Daughter Libba felt that my survival prospects were at last good because, from bed, I told her I had 7 newly stretched and gessoed unpainted canvases in the studio.
After all these decades with a brush in my hand, I still find the making of art endlessly mysterious and facinating. Every day, something is learned. And something magical is waiting. A life within itself, reflecting life.
