2013: A Cabinet of Curiosities
The 2013 paintings incorporate the Golden Mean, a ratio based on the number Phi. As the Golden Mean appears throughout all of nature, it is securely embedded in the DNA of us all.
For evidence of the Golden Mean, look to the proportions of the Mona Lisa, the Parthenon, the Pyramids and, well, most everything. Mathematics, geometry, life and the universe itself.
As usual, the subjects in these paintings have grown from poetry, prose and nuggets from years of collected interests to form a continuation of my personal diary. In a way, a “cabinet of curiosities” without borders.
