2011 & 2012: Great Notions

These works carry much the same vibrant trappings and influences as the early 2000 and onward paintings.

There is the great variety and contrast of painterly effects within a given canvas, from knife to broad brush to considered detail. From rich color to the monochromatic. From modeled shading to flat. Surfaces constantly vie for contrast and attention.

And still, literature and the history of art mix with Harmon’s personal journal.
